Agribusiness and Cooperative Empowerment Program (ACEP).
At AIRCE, we believe that young people and women hold the key to transforming agriculture and building stronger communities. The Agribusiness & Cooperative Empowerment Program (ACEP) seeks to open doors in a sector where they are often underrepresented.
Through ACEP, we help women and youth step into empowered roles and build capacity in climate-smart farming and cooperative-driven enterprises—not just as participants, but as innovators and decision-makers shaping the future of agriculture.
How the Program Works
01. Research and Mapping
Through research and community consultations, we identify the real challenges facing women and youth in agriculture in a community. We map out local opportunities that can create meaningful change.
02. Training and Skills Development
We provide practical training in farming techniques, technology, cooperative values, and business management. This equips participants with the tools to run successful, sustainable ventures.
03. Building Cooperatives and Digital Platforms
We introduce a digital platform that connects farmers—especially women and youth—to resources and markets. Over time, ownership of this platform shifts to the cooperatives, ensuring that the community itself leads and benefits.
04. Tracking Progress and Measuring Impact
We work with and strengthen governance systems, policies and structures at all levels, helping to make them more transparent, accountable and effective
05. Growing and Expanding the Model
What works in one community is scaled to others. Our goal is to create a ripple effect—spreading a model of youth- and women-led agribusiness that sustains itself and inspires the next generation.
